Homebuilder Supports Local Foodbank

David Wilson Homes Mercia has donated items to the Trussell Trust Oswestry and Borders Foodbank to help them boost their ongoing food stock challenges.

The leading homebuilder, which is building homes in Oswestry at Montgomery Place on Morda Road, recently ran a collection at the development’s sales centre. Staff and residents at the development clubbed together to donate tins, cans and dried food which will go towards families in need in the area.

Sales adviser Sharon Price was on hand at the sales centre to pass on the donation.

Liz Jermy, Manager at Oswestry and Borders Foodbank, said: “We would like to extend a huge thank you to David Wilson Homes. We are on average feeding 31 people a week every week of the year locally and this donation will help us ease the strain of financial hardship.”

Angela Nurse, Sales Manager at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: “We are delighted to support the Oswestry and Borders Foodbank with this collection of food. We aim to support the local community wherever we build.”
