Reverse Grotto at Chirk Castle NT

This Christmas, Chirk Castle NT will once again be holding a reverse Santa’s grotto in aid of Oswestry and Borders Foodbank.
If you are visiting over the festive season, please take an item of food with you or pop a donation in the bucket or online via the QR code.

Dewch i brofi Nadolig Tragwyddol yng Nghastell y Waun o 29 Tachwedd – 4 Ionawr.
Camwch i 700 mlynedd o hanes wrth i’r castell ddod yn fyw gydag ystafelloedd wedi’u haddurno’n hardd a theatrau pyped cysgod chwareus. Cewch grwydro’r Ochr Ddwyreiniol, ymlacio gyda llyfr Nadoligaidd, neu fwynhau gemau bwrdd clasurol yn yr Ystafell Ddarllen.
Y tu allan, beth am ddilyn llwybr darganfod anifeiliaid drwy’r ardd i weld a welwch ddraenogod, wiwerod, ac ysgyfarnogod. Ar benwythnosau hyd at 21 Rhagfyr, beth am ymweld â’r Groto o Chwith i gwrdd â Siôn Corn a chyfrannu at Fanc Bwyd Croesoswallt a’r Gororau.

Step into 700 years of history as the castle is brought to life with beautifully decorated rooms and playful shadow puppet theatres. Explore the East Wing, relax with a festive read, or enjoy classic board games in the Reading Room.
Outside, follow the animal spotter trail through the garden and see if you can spot hedgehogs, squirrels, and hares. On weekends until 21 December, visit the Reverse Grotto to meet Father Christmas and donate to Oswestry and Borders Foodbank
