Harvest Appeal 2026

30th September 2026

Harvest is a particularly meaningful time of year for food banks. It provides opportunities for schools, families, and communities to come together to give thanks for what they have and share what they can with people who may be experiencing food insecurity or financial hardship. It reminds kindness, generosity and the importance of supporting others within their community.

Last year we received over 3 tonnes of Harvest donations from over 50 groups organising a food collection for the Foodbank.

Donations of long-life, non-perishable food items can make a real difference to local people who are struggling to afford enough food for themselves and their families. A collection can be as simple as asking members of your school, church or community group to bring in an item or two from our suggested shopping list. Every donation, however small, is greatly appreciated and contributes to making up food parcels for those who need our support.
