MPs back bid to block proposed changes to benefits

Today dozens of Labour MPs have rescinded their support of the Welfare reform bill which, if passed, would push 250,000 people (50,000 children) into poverty.
The news comes after the Trussell Lobby Day on June 18th, which has undoubtedly had a huge impact as some of the MPs in attendance have added their signatures to the reasoned amendment letter.
